About Me

I grew up in Manchester, UK and from a young age quickly developed a passion for foreign languages. I went on to University to get my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Modern Languages and European Studies, where I studied Spanish and Italian. I have also studied French to a high level, and tried my hand at Chinese, Japanese and German.

After University, I went on to train to be a teacher and obtained my PGCE in Language Teaching. I worked teaching foreign languages in the UK for a few years, passing on my passion for language to students of various ages. I realised that along the way, languages had opened up many possibilities for me and wanted to allow others to experience that.

I then decided to move to Italy, where I have been living for the last two years, to move my focus to teaching English as a Foreign Language. It has been here where I have really learnt and seen the need for foreign languages. It has also massively enriched my teaching experience, and has exposed me to a wide variety of contexts and situations, increasing my adaptability and understanding of my learners’ needs.
